We don't teach to the assessment. While we give you everything you need for your hospitality assessments, we also give you so much more! Each unit draws on our Food Literacy Framework to provide a holistic learning experience that prepares students for careers and life.

Note: Students in a class that uses a mix of Hospitality Unit Standards, Food Technology, and/or Health Studies Achievement Standards are eligible for a single annual subscription of $20, providing access to all applicable standards for that class.
Students in separate Hospitality, Food Tech, or Health Studies classes will need to pay for separate annual subscriptions for each class.

All Unit Standards come with Pre-Moderated Assessments Approved by Ringa Hora - Workforce Development Council (WDC).
All schools using Level 2 and Level 3 Assessments need to have the relevant Consent to Assess. This is overseen by Ringa Hora, for more information, or to expand your consent to assess to include the standards we offer, please see here. We would also highly recommend calling Ringa Hora on 04 909 0306, their team are super helpful!
Note: Schools do not need specific consent to assess Level 1 Cookery and Level 1 Food & Beverage Service Standards as these are covered by the Base Scope of Assessment for Schools (BSAS). School only need consent to assess Level 2 & 3 Cookery and Food & Beverage Service Standards. See here for more on the BSAS.

Nope! For one flat rate per student per year, you get access to everything! This includes all assessments (SAs & TAGs), the student workbook, recipes, demo videos, detailed step-by-step lesson plans, assessment tools, and much more!
Absolutely! At EATucation, we believe that cooking is a universal language that embraces diversity. We aspire to empower all neurodivergent learners by helping them find their unique recipe for success! All our resources are compatible with text-to-speech tools and can be read aloud to students. We also use neurodivergent-friendly fonts and have supportive word and page spacing and formatting to support reading and ākonga accessibility.

Yes. Many schools have expanded their consent to assess to include the Hospitality Standards that we offer.
As of October 4, 2021, all Consent to Assess functions were transferred from Service IQ to Ringa Hora – Workforce Development Council.

Founded by Matt Robinson, a Michelin-trained chef 👨🏻🍳 who fuelled his passion for food cooking internationally before returning to Aotearoa to re-train as a teacher, spending the next seven years in the classroom.
Following this, he launched EATucation to spread his love of Food Education nationwide.
Matt believes creating the change we want to see in the world begins with ensuring the future of tomorrow is cared for and considered today.
