We alternate the types of sessions we run to ensure you can make it to the PD Session you need to on a day that aligns with your after school meeting schedule. 

For help with specific questions, please join any of our PD Sessions at 4PM. All sessions run from 3.30 to 4PM and we always finish the session with any questions.

The beginner PD session is designed to be hands-on and will focus on walking you through setting up your account. This will ensure you can access lessons and begin teaching! 

If at all possible, bring a buddy! This may be a colleague or someone who can support you getting the hang of a new online platform, for example, someone from your IT Department. Another benefit of bringing a buddy is it allows you to join the online meeting on their device while setting up your EATucation account on your own device. This allows the session to be hands-on and provides the opportunity for us to walk you through the set up process ensuring you are all set by the end of the session. If your buddy is also going to be using the EATucation program and would also like to set up their account or if you don’t have someone who can join you, please join the PD Session video link (below) on another device (e.g. a spare school device). This will allow you to watch the demonstration on one device while setting up your EATucation program on your own device.

This session will focus on exploring two additional features:

1. How to utilise Digital Workbooks and Digital Assessments.
2. How to utilise the upload evidence feature, which is a great way to streamline collecting student evidence.

This session will focus on our Assessment Tasks for Learning (ATL). These are an additional and optional layer of assessment that you may choose to use. ATLs do not replace the existing assessments at NCEA but instead provide you with the opportunity to give your students feedback throughout a unit of learning. In our Year 7-10 program, they allow you to ground your teaching and learning in a clear assessment framework.
